Lucy recommends

One of my favourite books that I can never get enough of is the book ‘Holes’ by Louis Sacher this book is about a boy called Stanley who him and is family have a history of bad luck, when Stanley is in the wrong place at the wrong time, he is sent to a boys juvenile detention centre. At this camp the boys must dig a hole a day, five feet deep and five feet wide. The Warden claims that the labour is character building, but Stanley soon discovers this is a lie when he digs up the truth. This book is emotional, exciting, and entertaining to read for all ages. It has many plot twists, and the book is that detailed you almost feel like you’re there in the desert with Stanley. I would also recommend the books that came after holes they are still so carefully thought about and unique. I have read this book multiple times and it’s still as good as the first time, the plot twists still surprise me, I still feel as close to the characters each time.
